Sasek in S.F.

This is San Francisco is the eighth of Mr. Sasek's impressions of the world's great cities and there seems no reason why he should not continue so long as a city remains to prompt his sharp observation, shrewd social comment and pervading humour. The San Francisco album is in the now-famliar manner, and Mr. Sasek is particularly happy with the singular blend of brashness and beauty in the West Coast capital. If there is at least as much relish of absurdity, there is more than a common tenderness and affection in this portrait. Like [Rudyard] Kipling, Mr. Sasek has found San Francisco hard to leave, and so will his readers.
