Reviews of This is Cape Kennedy
[This is Cape Kennedy] is dramatic, though one misses the spectacular panoramas of large cities provided by his previous books. In the nature of the Cape, the most attention-getting pages are those showing the giant rokets, the radar-tracking devices, and the montage of world headlines when our astronaut made American's first orbit. The book also exposes the commercialism surrounding the Cape.

Sasek's pictorial presentation of the "Space Capital of the World" shows in colorful captioned paintings missiles and equipment at Cape Kennedy and tourist attractions at nearby Cocoa Beach. This is not among the best of the artist's guidebooks but it does contain quite a bit of information in its illustrations and captions and may well have the most appeal for children.
